I’ve heard… Oh, all of these.

PCOS and ovarian cysts can be life threatening. There are at least four people I know and love who have experienced the excruciating, disabling pain caused by ovarian cysts. Do you know what it’s like to see a person you love in so much pain that they’re vomiting, crying, curled up in a ball and refuse to move because it hurts too much to even open their eyes? Hormonal contraceptives do more than prevent pregnancy. You want to protect life? Start with the people who are already living.
As someone with so many people in my life with this condition, and conditions like it, I am vehemently sickened by such a trend in politics. When will people understand that there’s never been a ‘war on religion,’ rather, a war on uteri, and the people we love that have them?

We kicked their asses here in Mississippi and now they’re targeting my home state. Let’s roll out the big guns. They’ve changed the wording, but it’s still horrible—and I refuse to let this pass. Being in Mississippi, I can’t exactly start sticking up posters, but I CAN spread the word.
Let’s shoot this down.
Signal boosting.
I refuse to be a bystander. Especially not now, when this barks at my doorstep.
On October 13, 2011, (TOMORROW) the House of Representatives will vote on the so-called “Protect Life Act” (H.R. 358)—a bill that allows hospitals to refuse a woman life-saving, emergency abortion care even if she will die without it. Please contact your representatives immediately so they can know where you stand on this.
Signal boosting as hard as I possibly can.
Great video presenting excellent facts on the issue of abortion and women’s health rights in the US. Particularly useful for those long drawn-out arguments with ill-informed

Read this. Read about the pain and suffering inflicted upon a young woman who just wanted to do the right thing. Read about the horrific manipulation, the lies, the coercion. Read about the trickery. READ THIS. Because somewhere a woman has made the decision to end a pregnancy, to save herself and her life and to give herself the chance to bear children when she is ready, and is being forced into this office, to hear these lies, to feel this pressure, to be given this guilt. Guilt no one should have ever foisted upon her for being mature, for being a grown up, for doing what is right and necessary for her.
I can’t stand these people. I can’t stand the idea that people would devote their lives for being so horrible to young women. Shame on them. Shame on all of them.
Next time someone complains about their precious tax dollars funding abortion, ask how they feel about more than $30 million of their money going toward organizations that willfully propagate misinformation.
ALL OF MY HATRED.
